Description: A feasibility study for the monitoring of refurbishment and recycling of mobile phones in China on behalf of the TEQPORT Service GmbH and T-Mobile Deutschland. It showed that under the current circumstances a transparent monitoring isn't possible in the visited companies. Considering this limitation, a lack of resource efficiency in Chinese recycling systems could be assumed. This result led the concerned parties (not producers!) to decide not to send non-functioning mobile phones to China for a refurbishment.
