Teaching at the Chair of Circular Economy and Recycling Technology
The education at the
Chair of Circular Economy and Recycling Technology has the primary
task of creating a process-understanding for waste management
activities and to describe their
influence on the material and financial resources.
The three thematic pillars of the teaching
concept are:
- the technical / engineering principles
- the economic and legal frameworks and the organizational management tools
- scientific understanding of chemical reactions and mass transfer
These
pillars are setted in different modules, each with individual
priorities. Field trips to facilities in and around Berlin illustrate
the subject matter. The handling of projects at the "Berliner
Stadtreinigungsbetrieben" and the
waste analytical internship offer students the opportunity to put into
practice what they have learned.
